Corey Gamberg is a highly experienced Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor who has dedicated over a decade to helping individuals in recovery. As a primary therapist and clinical coordinator at the Massachusetts Center for Addiction, Corey is dedicated to ensuring that his clients find a personalized and meaningful approach to their recovery journey. With a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by those struggling with addiction, Corey uses his expertise to help his clients achieve long-lasting sobriety and a fulfilling life in recovery.

Adam Grushey, a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor, has dedicated the past six years of his life to assisting those struggling with addiction. Before his work in addiction treatment, Adam held a position as a corporate executive in the hospitality sector. However, it was in the realm of addiction treatment that he discovered his true calling.

Incorporating the 12-Step program as the foundation of his therapeutic approach, Adam integrates aspects of biopsychology, holistic healing, and mythology to provide comprehensive support for his clients. As a recovering drug addict and alcoholic himself, Adam has found that assisting others facing similar challenges has brought an unprecedented sense of peace and balance to his life.

A devoted student of psychology and English literature, Adam is driven by the opportunity to help others uncover their true purpose in life. This motivation underpins his clinical work at Massachusetts Center for Addiction, where his expertise and compassion contribute to the success of the treatment programs.

Brenna has an extensive background in Mental Health and SUD. Brenna’s drive to help others heal stems from her lived experience with having an eating disorder, which often co-occurs with SUD. Brenna’s hard work, commitment to patient care, and natural leadership qualities allowed her to wear many hats in substance use treatment ranging from Case Manager to Supervisor of Case Management Services, and, most recently, Program Director.

Brenna is passionate about Mental Health Advocacy, women’s issues, and fighting the stigma often associated with Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder diagnoses. Brenna believes that each person has a unique story and provides individualized care and support to each person to promote self-love and the importance of self-worth.

Bob Gallagher is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker ( LICSW). He joins the Massachusetts Center for Addiction Team with 24 years of recovery and over 20 years of clinical experience serving people suffering from a wide range of emotional issues and addictive disorders. Over the course of his career, Bob has learned how to effectively utilize many modalities and strategies (collaborative, 12 Step, strength-based, dialectical behavioral, and motivational) to best meet the specific needs of his clients.

Bob has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Boston and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston University.

Caitlin Thorp, a Licensed Drug and Alcohol counselor, has spent over four years dedicated to the addiction field. Caitlin is proficient in addressing both mental health and substance use issues. She integrates a 12-step approach for effective intervention in substance use. Currently completing her final year of the Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health at Lesley University, Caitlin also holds Reiki I and Reiki II certificates, integrating holistic practices into counseling. Grounded in therapeutic frameworks such as Carl Jung’s psychology and Internal Family Systems, Caitlin is committed to fostering holistic healing and well-being for everyone.

Eddie Payne spent many years in and out of numerous treatment centers until ultimately hitting rock bottom and working on creating a better life for himself.  Eddie has worked in many different treatment centers wearing a plethora of hats, including admissions, case management, and director of sober living. Eddie has a passion for the 12-steps and believes in that anyone can recover from a hopeless state of mind by practicing these core values and incorporating spirituality into daily living. Eddie loves helping people and believes his purpose in life is to help addicts learn a new way of life as they are better themselves. Eddie lives by the motto if you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work.
